Reflection and Resolution

It's not too late to encourage each other to enter a new chapter in 2023. Many of us have managed to survive difficult periods in business after the pandemic hit in the last 3 years.Since the end of last year, the stretching of the tourism industry, especially diving tourism, has begun to appear.Tourist destinations and their operators, which had been closed, are starting to open and receive guests. After a period of not operating, of course there are many things that need to be repaired again, including facilities, equipment and even skills for the recovery of the tourism sector in the country.Throughout 2022, the Management of the Indonesian Recreational Diving Business Association (IRDBA) is trying to find opportunities to work together and open up opportunities for the benefit of its members. Several collaborations have been carried out, including with PT Exhibition Network Indonesia (X-net) organizing the Deep Extreme Exhibition (DXI), the largest diving and marine tourism exhibition in Indonesia which was held face-to-face on 1-4 September 2022 in Jakarta after vacuum for the previous 2 years. Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), IRDBA was even able to provide exhibition booth facilities for its 11 members from various regions; Jakarta, Bali, Manado, and Kendari and recorded live transactions during the event.IRDBA is also involved in various activities organized by related agency partners, including seminars and workshops with the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenkomarves), META Indonesia and other agencies.Reflections on 2022 are an important foundation for continuing business and making 2023 resolutions. Many hopes and beliefs are getting stronger that this year should be the full momentum of recovery as well as square off to get back on track. Of course, the world has changed. In fact, there will still be challenges ahead. However, the pandemic has taught us how to survive and be tougher.IRDBA will always be a big family and home for all of us. Because together, we will be stronger.Happy new year 2023!Regards,Arief Yudho Wibowo, ChairmanRani Bustar, Secretary General
